Bowen Born is an NCAA Division I college basketball player at Northern Iowa University in Cedar Falls, Iowa. This past season Bowen was named second team all-MVC. Starting in all 32 games, Bowen averaged 17.9 PPG on 36.9% shooting from 3. 

In his second year Bowen was named the MVC Sixth Man of the Year along with MVC All-Bench Team. Playing in 30 games, Bowen averaged 7.4 PPG shooting 44.2% from the field and 33.7% from 3. Born helped lead the Panthers to their second MVC regular season championship in the last 3 years. 

In his rookie season with the Panthers. The 5’11” lefty guard was selected Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year. Starting in all 25 games, Bowen averaged 11.2 PPG, 2.5 RPG, and 2.3 APG . He was also named to the MVC All-Newcomer and All-Freshmen teams.

Bowen, graduated from Norwalk High School in 2020. He finished his prep career as the No. 6 all-time leading scorer in Iowa high school boys basketball with 2,494 points. Voted Mr. Iowa Basketball and Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year following his senior season in which he averaged 36.4 PPG and shot 54.4% from the field, Bowen is most proud of the state title the Warriors claimed after three consecutive trips to the state tournament.

Growing up, Bowen started playing AAU with the FAST program in Portland, Oregon. A move to Iowa eventually provided him the opportunity to play with the Iowa Barnstormers grass roots AAU program throughout high school, traveling the country and playing on the Adidas circuit with and against some of the best players in his class.
